Awesome job raising that tiger. Super healthy and happy looking. These vittatus seem to do better in captivity than goliaths. No matter how big of tank my Goliath is in he always acts like a maniac.

How big now? I saw you said 15in several months ago. Looks like it went from 4in to 15in 16-18months. That seems pretty damn quick. I am guessing at this stage he is putting on girth if anything.

I am considering a GATF and you just scared me with how quick your VATF grew. I was hoping longer to get to 18in. What size tank is he in?

He's in a 750. I had a gatf for a month and he put on 2" in that time.

What an amazing specimen! :). I have a few questions for you if you don't mind answering:
Have you always had this guy in your 750? Or did you upgrade his tank in the middle? Also how has your feeding regime changed over the months?

He went directly into the 750 from day one. Feeding regime has stayed pretty much the same. He took to tilapia fairly quickly so that has been his staple. Sometimes with a few pellets stuffed inside, He also gets shrimp occasionally and once in awhile earthworms. I feed my rays twice a day so food goes in twice daily but he rarely will eat a second meal. He also goes through phases were he sheds his teeth and during that time he may go for up to 3 days refusing food.
