He looks different. Very pointy snout. My Vs have a rather blunt snout. Very wicked looking fish. I like him a lot as well!

He looks very thick, that things a tank! How big?

The tail thing is why I split up the 2 big Tanzys here.... :(
 
Yeah I like his look. He's a very strong eater. Still a little guy at 7.5" or so but growing rapidly. They get such beautiful tails as they mature I'm just hoping to keep his looking good. My light sand combined with the black background doesn't exactly bring out his colors :/
 
I thought dark back grounds brought out colors? Maybe change to a darker substrate?
 
You'd have to ask Rob (Chicx) bout the M/F thing. I have no clue on these things. Other Characins its by the pelvic fin shape.

Where did your V come from IF you don't mind me asking?
 
Yeah I believe dark helps their colors. My sand is almost white. I may go darker at some point.
