I do that everynight :D it's funny as the Instant I hit the lights...you see all my cats move...except the hybrids... they just freeze for a couple mins.. then start "hunting" mind you they are scared of their own shadows so the freezing is prob them saying "that the hell.... something was following me all day ... now it's gone .... COOL !" LOL

Not only that... but there's usually a LOT less feeders in the tank when I turn the light on the next morning. And his fat happy ass is in his little cave just chillin. Gotta love em.

Thanks... although its fun to feed him the goldies, I think I am actually gonna switch him over to some shrimp and stuff I can hand-feed here pretty soon. I might just save the feeders for when friends are over or something like that. It is fun to watch him chase em down!

Good to hear your taking my advice ;) Keep up the good work with him!

I bought cooked shrimp (peeled and deveined) by accident... does that matter? I also have raw with shell. Do I need to peel the shell or will he eat it with no problem? Any issues with feeding him the cooked shrimp until its gone? Is it like your mom used to always tell you about cooking carrots... all the vitamins and nutrients get cooked out? (How many vitamins and nutrients do shrimp have anyway...they eat poo!)

You can feed the cooked shrimp no problem, it is obviously better to feed raw however so keep that in mind... Peel the shrimp as your RTC is still quite small and would have an easier time digesting the shrimp without it... you'll notice that if you feed him the shells that he'll most likly get constipated at this size... not that it won't work itself out... just that it really puts a strain on your filtration system when he.. ummmm ... catches up LOL
