TIC-TACS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

actually this fish doesn't even look forskalli, kind of unique looking, have a square head, but long body like a forsaklli, can't wait till you grow it out and see what it looks like!

I have always thought "Fors" was the same as "Vitt"

I thought there was Goliath, Vitt/Fors, Tanza and Brevis in the family of ATFs

Wes probly knows best as he deals w/import-exporters

Wes, do you know the locations of each species (with the exception of Goliath-Congo and Vitt-Congo/Nigeria)?

It's a tigerfish, that's all I care about. Very cool!

1. first specie-sure, these fish from Charlie are from Nigeria, which supplies tiger fish that have a thin and longer body., with a small snout. and usually always shows very dark horizontal stripes, also this fish does not grow very large, I can almost guarantee it.

the reason I call this fish Forskalli is because really the taxonomy is not updated, most of them described back in the 1800s. this is clearly a different fish than the vittatus that we have. you can call it something else if you want, and forskalli is current and valid name.

Current status: Valid as Hydrocynus forskahlii (Cuvier 1819) Alestidae. Distribution: Africa. Habitat: freshwater

2. 2nd specie-The goliaths that we see are all from Congo, non ever come from the Lake Tanganiyka.

3. 3rd specie-the vittatus are very wide spread, but most of all we see come from Congo as well.

4.4th specie-There is one more that is mixed in have large eyes and taller body from Congo that I have seen
