New WC angel died :(

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry to hear one died. I would contact the seller for advise. If you got them from Scott, He has had them (at least the smaller ones) for a couple months in his shop. The four I got are doing amazing and growing like weeds. My PH is 7.2. Heater is off for the summer and temp is about 80*. They eat flake and 1mm sinking pellets like crazy. One is dominant, but they all get along well together so far.

GL and keep us posted.

thanks guys and yeah i got them from scott, and yeah the small ones seem to be doing great, i think it may just have been harder for him to adjust since he was larger, as the smaller ones seem to be eating more aggressively and more outgoing than the larger one i still have, so i think its just taking the larger one longer to adjust and maybe it was just too much for the one that died, but they all seem to be doing good now and even the other large one has eaten a little bit so hopefully it was just a fluke with that one and the others will continue to do well, they are the only cichlids in my large tank besides the tiny GT baby but he is smaller than even the smaller angels so he doesnt bother them at all, so they have rule of the tank right now and im sure that will help them to fully adjust faster

and bill thanks, that is comforting to know that yours are doing great in the same pH as my tank :)

so all the other angels are still doing well, they are so personable you wouldnt even think that they were swimming around the amazon a short while ago. they already follow me around the tank begging for food lol and my little GT juvie actually schools with them :screwy: but yeah so i had a question, i have this bottle of betta pellets that i barely used so its practically full and they are like the perfect size for the angels, would this food be ok to feed them on a regular basis just until i use it up and then get a cichlid pellet that is small like that or is it not a good staple since they are totally different from bettas? the brand is HBH betta bites
