I haven't posted in a few weeks here, but my largest motoro had 2 pups on 6-27-06. 1 is male and 1 is female....both are doing well and growing fast. They are now eating cut up earthworms. It has been my desire to slowly build a large breeding operation.....so i guess this is my beginning. I've started a website (www.amazonstingrays.com) to sell rays and also as a place to provide information on care, systems, filtration, etc. I'm new to designing web pages, so bear with me. I'm hoping to be able to post articles/ideas submitted by myself and any other aquarists who wish to post/write articles about our hobby. I've gotten some suggestions about trying to create one site where captive bred rays can be purchased from various breeders. I don't know if this is practical, but I do think it would be possible to have a group of breeders who all provide links to eachother's sites....sort of a stingray breeding co/op. This could keep design of sites personal, while providing easy access for buyers. Anyway, I'd like to know what people think of the site and also if anyone has any ideas about the site, breeding, etc. I'm planning to research proper shipping methods so i can offer that soon too. My prices are higher than wild caught, but I think this is as low as they can be until larger scale breeding becomes possible, thus allowing bulk food and supply purchase that will allow prices to go down. Pics of the pups are on the website.

Enjoy, and thanks for all the advice from members here who have educated me in the keekping of these awesome creatures.

the site is looking really good. Hope you have more pups in the future.
I just might buy one from you one of these days. :)

nice little site..
gl with it all

Site looks good, good luck with your new project.

Good ideas, site looks good. However, If I were you, I would probably hold off on selling your new pups. Why? If you kept them, they would have pups and most likely you would develop a few healthy breeding pairs. This way you will have more stock to choose from or you could introduce other pups to yours, and have a better genetic stock. In the end you end up with more pups to sell. Just my idea. GL with it!

I like your idea, and that's why I'm selling the rays. Hoping to generate a little revenue to help with the purchase of some large specimens. I will eventually be keeping some female pups as they are born. Right now I'm trying to get as many breeding females as possible in a shorter time period.
