Best grammodes I have ever seen at that size...nice work with that one. Is he skittish or calm?

I had one about a year ago, even at an 2 inches he dominated my 3 inch dovii and 3 inch red devil. Months after the devil and dovii were 6-7 inches and the grammodes was barely 4 inches, guess who dominated, the grammodes. It was really funny watching this little fish chase the bigger fish like there was no tomorrow. Thank god these three cichlids were kept in a 120g because if it was smaller the devil and dovii would of gotten killed.
A grammode at 4 inch has a mature level comparable to a 12 inch dovii, so what do you think would happen then. Dovii at 7 inch is still a baby

I bet, but I had a friend who had a 8 inch grammodes that lived with a 14 inch umbee. The grammodes still dominated.

I had a 4" male that got destroyed one night by my Breidohri, so they are not all that bad

Nice looking fish, good luck with them

So, it might be better to get a 200 plus gallon tank to home a grammode with other cichlids?

No, not all of them are killers. Minimum tank size to put them with other cichlids should be a 125g.

@Dilema every cichlid has their own personality. Your lucky yours didn't kill your Breidohri.
