I was gonna say the same thing about the aggressiveness. I asked on the forums which was a less aggressive sunfish for my tank, and the consensus was to stay away from Green sunfish if I don't want an aggressive sunfish. I've since been trying to catch a Blue or Orange Spotted Sunfish. I don't think you'll have problems with him and the bass tho.

they need cold water i can tell you that i had mine in my tank running with no heater and they did very well, untill i found out its illegal to keep wild caught fish as pets in canada

Sunfish are temperate fish, not coldwater. 60's to the upper 70's would be appropriate, although they can handle warmer and cooler conditions.

Check your local State laws, all are different, its not illegal everywhere, to keep or sell Native Fish, But There are rules about that as well. There are a few native fish dealers around such as Sachs Aquaculture, Zimmermans Fish, BT Darters, Jonahs Aquarium, That sell native fish. Also they can be bought at various aquaculture facilities, for stocking lakes ponds etc.

Soooo its not impossible, you just gotta follow the rules :)
