yes, the amazing 717 shutter lag , gotta love it. You gotta catch them when they slow down to change direction. It's ALL about patience with this stuff. they do stop all the time. Sit in front of the camera and practice w/out taking the actual pic.
That is another reason to have more lighting and use a quicker shutter.
