Hey guys!

So i recently got a wolf fish that measures about 7.5". My first question is about his eyes, one eye looks like a normal fish eye (round, big iris), but the other has a much smaller pupil and in a sense looks reptilian. Ill try and take a pic asap its just hard with a phone camera. I just wanted to know if this is normal or a sickness? Hes looked like this since day one.
My second question is, is it necessary for a mala to have a hiding spot like a cave? Some sites say its a must and some dont mention it, what do you guys suggest?

It looks to me like he used to have a really bad case of cloudy eye from being kept in bad conditions that healed at some point before getting to you. He'll still be able to see out of that eye, just not very well. Personally, I wouldn't be worried about it.

Is there any chance it could come back? Should i get him a personal shelter spot? Sorry if im asking a lot at once, id just feel like a bad person if I were to cause this fishes death

Caves or driftwood to hide in or under is always good for Wolf`s they feel safe and will reduce stress on him.

The wolf must of gotten an eye infection or an injury. might not heal. i would recommend your mala a cave since they love to hide in the wild.
