  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sounds like it was a lot of fun. I wish some of these events were a little closer. ;-/

Is there a thread going of what everyone got?

I had a great time at AquaMania. The CCA members were great hosts. Matt (dogofwar) did a great job and I want to say thank you for all the work he, and the rest of the club members put into a great event. I also enjoyed talking to Jon (jonclark) and several others whose names I must apologize escape me at the moment. I also had the pleasure of meeting Rachel(Msjinkzd) whose presentation was a homerun and Li (Neoprodigy) two really nice people that were great to talk to. A special, thanks to Jesse & Amanda for the ride to restaurant great food, drink and conversation. All the speakers and vendors did a fantastic job. I was very impressed. All together a great weekend with some very knowledgeable, nice and fun loving people. Great job everyone, thank you again for your dedacation and helping to make this the great hobby it is.
Was great to meet you as well! Thanks for attending the talk and the beers!

To call Rachel's presentation a home run is an understatement. It was a grand slam (the bases...er...seats in room...were loaded)!

Li was the Platinum Sponsor of AquaMania and it's hard to say how much his support means for fish clubs like ours and the hobby in general. And he's a heck of a good guy!

It was so much fun to meet so many new folks at the event. I think we broke 250 registered for the event and/or marketplace plus and untold number of kids and visitors, including 15 kids and families who brought home free 10g set-ups! Hopefully AquaMania will introduce lots of folks to fish clubs and get them involved :)

Great hanging with Tom (Aquanero) as well. We actually met each other (when we didn't know who we were) when Tom was heading out of the room during an African Cichlid presentation. He said something like, "Not interested. Coming back to see the New World Speaker (Ken Davis, who rocked)." AWESOME!!!!

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks Matt! I was blown away by the turnout and reception my topic received!

I got a superb looking, stunner of a green terror. Eyeballing, I'd call him 6", giver or take. Best looking GT I've seen in person in a long time, if not ever!
