New World Cichlids at CCA Presents AquaMania (Mar 9-10, Hilton Gaithersburg, MD)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok so is the event in D.C or M.D? Cause I want to come and I will be coming from Ontario. How long do we have to register?

The event is at the Hilton in Gaithersburg, MD, about 15 miles northwest of DC. Registration is open now, and the earlier you register the better it will be for getting an accurate head count for the event.

Glad you are coming down. It should be a great weekend!

Sorry obviously in MD, how does it work when purchasing stock from the event for people out of town? If I see stuff sat will they hold it for you till sunday? Is the aquariums set up with the stock or they bagged? Sorry but I have never been to an event like this and just trying to prepare ahead?

It really is up to the individual seller. Some people will bring their own tank(s) to sell from. Others will bag fish and sell by the bag. When I have attended conventions away from home, I usually bring 3 or 4 rubbermaid bins and set them up as temporary tanks in my hotel room. Bring a few seeded sponge filters and an air pump and you are ready to go. The CCA will not have rental tanks available.

+1

Registration is here: www.capitalcichlids.org/aquamania

Best thing to do is to bring a couple of Rubbermaids or small tanks with eggcrate dividers and set them up in your room with a sponge filter.

Don't forget dechlor or airline tubing....although there will be vendors at the event and fish stores within a short drive...
