Crazy big cat. What's also crazy is this guy recently held the state record blue cat in Illinois, now he holds the world record.

IT really depends on the genetics of the fish. Its been found where 20 pound blues were 50 years old while some giants were clocked at only 15

thats a sick cat...what bothers me is that whenever you catch a world record, or a record, it pretty much has to be killed. That catfish is going to taste like absolute crap anyway

The fish doesnt have to be killed. Some big cat fisherman have giant tubs on their boats to keep their big ones alive to sell to pay lakes and such.

You are right, that fish probably wont be eaten. Would have been AWESOME if the resources were there to keep the fish alive and have her swimming around in a public aquarium somewhere.
