I keep up on the weekly water changes but I actually dont clean it often. I dont remember the last time I gave it a good cleaning.I had just done a water change and the water still had a bit of a tint to it so I figured it was time to break down the filter.

The filter sleeve that I rinsed out is falling apart so I definitely need to get a new one.

I can be pretty hard on my mechanical filter media.I'll keep and continue to re rinse them until they are almost like cotton lol.

Odd thing about my FX filters is they never have a lot of goopage when I clean them but I do notice a stronger return flow afterward.
