The issue can be the water stats in the bag from the aquarium. Your numbers could be great. Sometimes the acclimation needs to be much longer and any other fish wouldn't be an issue. These cudas, red or yellow, are just really sensitive.

I have him in a net floating in the tank so he is protected until Cody gets home. Hopefully he makes it he is such a cute little fish

Not ur fault. If there's any gap in water b/w your tank and the lfs well that's all it takes for these cudas to stress and go bad (shock).
