Found this fish at petsmart of all places. Figured it was a mistake so I picked it up. Pretty cool fish. Very laid back. Anyone know if it male or female? It's around 2 1/2 inches. I'm thinking female but I've never had one. The nls should help the fish's health :)

beautiful ... wait until it really shows off its color..... better have the camera ready.. because it is fast.....and then gone

It was in with the assorted African cichlid tank for 11.99, but that tank was on sale for 50% off so like 6 dollars. I should have vented it before putting in the tank but I'm thinking female because the lack of color. But If the fish was sub dominate then who knows what will happen in a few months. Not even sure what size they color up. After I'm sure what sex it is I'm gonna buy a couple more to make a trio.

Looks like a female to me, based on color and fin shape. The egg spots aren't always a male pattern. Either way, great deal on an awesome fish. Congrats.

This is my male and he never looses color have him with another and his is a little dull but still colorful
