thanks kaya for the advice! but i dont have much experience actually but i ultimately wanna keep an arow in the future so i guess i'll start with some beginner fish first

:) well nothing wrong in being enthusiastic.. ok sounds silly but have ya had fish at all??? Why don't you list out what sorta tank you have and the equipment that you have along with it and i'm sure people here will be able to give you plenty of advice on say beginners predatory fish :) there is also a sticky on LFS in singapore.. i think it lists the best LFS around.. thats the idea i got from the thread.. you could probably check out one closest to you.. give it a years time and probably you could graduate to an aro.. cheers..

No arowana is suitable for the beginning fish keeper. The 4 foot tank you have will only last about a year, that's even starting with a baby silver aro.

I like how people are suggesting a silver, because they are cheap. Why would you buy as fish expecting to fail:screwy: First gain the knowledge and no that you can properly house the fish before you buy the arowana. There are many other fish to keep and gain experience with, which are not as demanding as arowana.

Thanks for saying what needed to be said.
