well i had a jack dempsey but it died and this weekend i am going to get another cichlid. Any ideas on what kind of cichlid i should get

Lol I gave him my jack that was shredding up my pbass and it dies from nitrate an nitrite spikes he wants a cichlid but needs a hardy one

The ten gallon is a nice grow out but any cichlid will need a bigger tank soon

Throw the 10 gal in the garbage lol there nothing but a pain in the butt look on Craigslist for at lest a 30 gal u can get used tanks pretty cheap on there the smaller the tank the harder they are to take care of I'm new too welcome to the hobby there's a lot of nice people here that will help you along were are u from I have a 55 in the shed that I'm not using right now it just the tank with nothing else I'll give it to you to help you get started if you live close by
