If I black aro can be housed in a 180... Im getting one! I was going to get a Jar but, A black would be nicer. I didnt know you could really keep tankmates in a 180 though? What I want to do is plant my 180 with java fern/moss and other hardy plants and put big pieces of bog/drift wood all around it and get a delhezi, senegal, or ornate bichir for the bottom and let the aro have the top all to himself.

Sound like a good idea?

Im kind of doubting a black arowana. People keep telling me YES YES YES! And then others go, NO NO NO!

I'm so confused at this point.

Yes Yes Yes if the black has a some size like around 4 to 6 inches. No No No if you have not kept them as baby before. Baby silvers are yes yes yes.

Well, I'm going to be moving from this his in three years so that meens more room. People were telling me about fiberglass tanks made by AES, they are so cheap! Its like, 800 bucks for a 683 gallon that has a large viewing window... I'm going to buy one of those after I move and by then the aro will need an update and Im sure it would apreciate a 300+ tank. They have ones from 163 gallons all the way up to 2,000 I believe. Not the prettiest (all blue with large viewing window infront) but the arow would love it im sure.

Dels arow is in a 180 and so healthy she laid eggs without a MATE!!!
