newbi question about arowana

Small aros - gentle water. I've seen baby aros hide underneath and behind filters/outlets to find a calm spot.

Big aros like the current just fine, so at the moment make sure there is not too much flow.

Good point. Mine are both fairly decent size, so juvies may feel more comfortable with calmer waters.

theyre fine with some current, lots of aeration would be good too. and yes, your tank is too small for housing two silvers

With proper care they can grow up to 2" per month, so yes, they grow very quickly. Crickets are also a good addition to their diet.

I had my silver arowana when it was really small, maybe less than 4 inches... in a tank with a real powerful current...he is now almost 12 inches and is doing fine...

just my personal experience

I got the water calmer. I actually bought a new filter. The oød one broke down on me today. The new filter is much larger. And the arrowanas seem to like the water calmer. They dont hide behind the inside filter.
The thing that worries me more is that only one of them is eating. I have only had them for a couple of days. Is this normal
