You should be fine, just as long as he's not at an edible size.

Just keep an eye on them though because an aro growth rate is much faster than a ghost knife. You might have to separate them in the long run.

Just another thought too...I've noticed it helps with the lids slamming shut too. I've had to replace a couple of hoods, and now that I'm using silicone, I can create a little lip so the glass lands on silicone instead of landing flat on hard plastic.

I would think a GKF would be okay as long as there was enough space and food. And yes your aro will spend the majority of its time at the top of the tank it's perfectly normal.
