Hi! Been reading threads for several hours this evening after today being told in a not so local LFS that this site is "awesome". He was right!

I have ordered a new show tank for my new flat/apartment. It measures 50"wide x 21" deep x 24" tall holding aroud 380 litres.

I come here in search for inspriation for a new challenge. I have kept Mbuna, some south american chiclids but mainly general "community" type tank configurations.

Hit me with some ideas people................. im open to any suggestions.

Welcome to mfk.

Would you prefer a school of fish/several different fish or a species tank?

Which lfs sent you here btw?

The truth is i had all my gear in place to go MArine.........then a change of circumstances meant i would not have the time to give the hobby the full attention it requires. So i am looking for something to satisfy my desire for something amazing to watch.

I honestly do not know what it is i wish to do with my latest tank. I love the vibrant colours of Mbuna, but i love the larger fish like Uaru, severums etc. I guess if im honest i need to have 5 tanks one for each of my wants/needs.

Waterzoo in Peterborough sent me !

Good old water zoo, had a couple of fish from there.

Your best bet might be have a look around the site and see what fish tickles your fancy. Or, if you can get over towards Thetford there's a place just up the road called Swallow Aquatics, they have a good selection of oddities in that should work in your tank.

hiya, and welcome!

you could get a trio of oscars and have some clown loaches with a shoal of barbs or something in there - then if you don't like what you have just swap for other fish later :)

Thank you for all your kind welcomes. Went to an LFS today and was mesmerised by a 16yrold Albino Tiger Oscar..... The only thing i worry about is being able to provide the space they need! I feel my tank may be a lil small :o(

On the other hand the dreams of a beautifully scaped tank would be shatered also as the oscars would soon rearrange!! lol
