First off I would like today hello! I'm new to monsterfishkeepers as well as new to owning cichlids.

With that being said I'm working on getting fish into my new tank. Currently have a 120 gallon with 1 Oscar, 1 jack dempsy, 1 firemouth, 1 pleco, 1 green terror, 2 severums, 1 electric blue jack, 1 convict, 1 blue acara, 1 arowana.

Yes, yes I know what your thinking. The size is too small and these fish won't get along.. But me being who I am I like to learn from my mistakes. All the fish currently in the tank are small 1"-3" and I will be getting a larger tank in the near future. And possibly splitting the arowana completely into its own tank.

Now any suggestions feedback or even things I should we concerned about??

it seems you already have things figured out and know you'll need a

tank upgrade to a much larger tank in the near future so just keep a
eye on things and watch for aggression, keep them well fed and happy.
the arowana will out grow that tank fast though just a fyi.

Sounds like you are pretty well on your way. I hope you have the funds to keep up with the tank upgrades. If you get a large enough tank then I think that all of the fish might be able to remain together (although I'm not positive about that so I'm sure someone else will chime in if otherwise). If you are going for tank upgrades in the 3-400 gallon range then the arro will probably need his own tank, and some of the others might need split up also.

What is your water schedule like?

Also, welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the reply and thanks for the welcome!! At the moment I'm working on getting a 96x24x1/2" acrylic to build a 350 gallon tank. Problem that I'm having is the shipping cost for a piece that large is anywhere from 150-300 bucks. :( If anyone has any suggestions on where I can get it cheaper or even glass that will suite the job let me know please.

On the plus side I already have my girlfriend and my mind set to build it. Just slowly getting all materials together.

On my water schedule I changes I do 25% bi weekly due to the fish being small still. But once they get a little larger I will be doing weekly. And I Check my levels twice a week.

1/2" thick arcylic for 350G build, IMO it's too thin. I would go 1" thick shell cast acrylic for lifetime or at least last until you give up this hobby.

I was going to do a plywood aquarium. But its kinda in the air ATM. I will be sure to take the feedback into consideration. Im sure majority of you know alot more or whats right and wrong to do.

For a update I may have to get rid of the arowana. My oscar keeps picking on him. :( Sad part about it there are 2 goldfish in the tank Lol and the Oscars don't even pay attention to them.

On a side note I currently have stone stacked like so in my tank. I'm a little worried about them falling over and cracking the tank. Is it possible to use some type of adhesive to bond them all together to prevent that from happening?

Yes, there is aquarium super glue you can use and its bond under water.
