yep that is the one i pulled a lot of their specs down and checked them out, awesome, that is reasurring, at least i know if i order a particular fish i will get that fish. cool thanks

Yeah, alot of people here that have ordered on-line have ordered from one of those 2 sites so you shouldn't have too many worries.

You said the local fish store mostly has RBP...were there any other type of Ps?

no, no others that i saw, i am planing a trip down this week, i will see if they have any others, i jsut dont know them that well to trust in buying a fish like this, but will take a look, i know one other place that orders fish and has a nice shop, will see if he can order or even if he wants to.

Just kinda special fish that a person does not want to get the wrong specie, big difference in some of them.....

i like to truly know what i am getting, no sense in doing all the research and then get something you dont even know about right???

I suppose it's always good to give them scientific name when you doing a special order and showing some picture of the kind of fish you want. and be sure to get some kind of written agreement (if not in their standard policy) that you don't need to pay the fish if they ordered you the wrong one. if they don't do that then just order from the online vendors mentioned previously.

I have personally kept all the fish you have mentioned and I have a elong and 12 macs as of now. The Brantii is a slow grower and very skittish for the most part but it changes fish to fish, elong can also be very skittish but the do need the length because they do like to swim and you will have a hard time getting one past 8", for the Macs/Spilo they are the greatest little fishes I have one around 6" and he has so much personallity, he always greats you at the front of the tank eats well and has awsome colors. I currrently have all the fish you can read below and have kept alot of Ps so if you want to know something dont be afraid to ask. Here is some pics I dont have any old pics of my Brantii but theis are some of my more recent fish.

awesome ppics, and yeah i will deffinitlly be ordering by the scientific name, i am not taking any chances, just to much of a risk to get a fish you dont want and then what do you do with it? No thank you, applied knowledge is power in my book.

I do like the spilo's and the mac's are pretty too, i also like the blue diamonds, but i have to research that one alitte more.

As you can tell, i take my fishkeeping very seriously and dont like to just jump into something, it might be more work upfront but the end result is more enjoyable...
