i would add at least 2 powerheads to your undergravel filter to add GPH to the filtration and add some current. but yes very nice looking fish and tank.

I'll have to research powerheads.. I am still trying to get my water parameters right...I added 5 4'' rbp's on tuesday they are very active, hungry, and nipping each other. they seem to have perked up the 8'' rbp harry. I have them divided...Harry seems to want to join them.(or eat them...lol) He isn't trying to attack them which I was told to look out for...) The little ones are following his every move. I did add some air stones. they are swimming across the air strip one like its a backyard sprinkler!

I just ordered 10 2'' rbp's...should get them Tuesday. I feel like a douche, I just thought he was used to being by himself, like he had acclimated. Thank you to everyone for the education.

So you added ten 2" and five 4" to your divided tank with an 8"?

If you like the air strip action, wait til you get a powerhead

I had ordered 10 2'' but he didn't have that many so I went with 5 4''...he said it would take less time to grow them out to eventually integrate them...4-5 months. sorry for the confusion. I am also thinking of chucking the entire filter system (undergravel) , with now two external filters, one from the old, and a new one...and starting over I dunnoo.

I chucked mine maybe 3 months in. Just got in the way during the weekly gravel vacs for me. Gotta make a decision before you plants get goin

I see, yeah, it'll take a lil less time starting at that size.
