If anything I would say non-aggressive community fish since EBJD's are weaker than normals.

+1 with this. EBJD's, especially small are prone to infection and disease, you'd be better off with Mollies or something similar as tank mates with them. This way they don't get stressed and your odds of raising them is greatly increased. They're worth it, they're very beautiful fish. Just make sure you keep their water clean and feed them a good diet. I'd suggest veggie flakes + NLS along with the occasional frozen treat like bloodworms, brine shrimp with spirulina.

You could go with large bodied tetras or even Silver Dollars for ditchers and even smaller size loaches for the bottom....

Thanks for the input.. what about :

1 EBJD'S
1 Green Terror's
1 Salvini's

And some silver Dollars.

One other to bear in mind is that I will be upgradeing this year to a 7x2x2! So was thinking about getting 2 of each of the above?

My opinion would be no on the green terror and salvini.

If it were me I'd get 2 EBJD's and maybe some tetra's to start. let the EBJD's prosper and grow for a few months so they arent picked on. Then id add some cichlids that are less aggressive, like Firemouths, Severums, or an Oscar(oscar shouldnt be larger than the EBJD's upon introduction).

Green Terrors and Salvini's are far too aggressive of fish to be in with EBJD's, especially when small. They're very docile and very prone to disease when under 3-4"s. Being in with other cichlids would add stress to them and raise the risk of disease. Once they get sick they're really hard to nurse to health. That's why I suggested Mollies, they're actually good dithers and entertaining to watch.
