Sweet! What is the acreage of the pond? I am looking to do a similar thing with lake sturgeon in the future.

Thanks everyone! @Sbuse, the pond is about 1/2 to 3/4s of an acre and 7-8 feet deep, it is spring fed although the spring slows way down in the summer. Winter it is running 400+ gallons a minute and that slows to about 10 gallons a minute in the summer. The pond has ranged from 38 degrees in the winter to 76 in the summer. They were just a little stressed when the temperature got up that high but not much. As long as i kept the Air blower running they seemed to do fine. They are not a difficult fish in anyway to take care of. Pretty bullet proof if you ask me. the pond hit 68 degrees and the trout went belly up, which freaked me out so i was running tests regularly to make sure water quality had not diminished. Oxygen in the water is the most important. And a good source of cheap feed because they can chew their way through quite a bit just because of their size.
