Size-wise a pair would be fine, but like blood pythons, they're very sensitive to anything less than high humidity, which is a common problem with large glass tanks. I'd pass on rainbows for the tank in question.
my 1 month old ball python is doing GREAT in its 90 gallon tank... it's got plenty of stuff to crawl around on and a nice hiding spot. I posted a new thread called "update on Doom" ..check out the pics..
