as for fish it sort of depends on how you want to cycle your tank.
is you are ok with cycling with fish, then a damsel or two will be fine for most of the cycle (i suggest velvet and yellow tail blues) but you should add some live rock to the tank to get the cycle started.
or skip this and just place a few peices of shrimp in the tank to get the ammonia going. but still add live rock as it will help cycle the tank later on.
once the cycle takes hold, you can add clowns, gobies, or blennies to the tank. after those you can add firefish, dwarf angels, or pretty much any smaller fish to your tank.
if you care to do inverts:
you could get some nassarius snails, bumblebee snails, turbo snails, hermit crabs, arrow, emerald, porcelin, or boxer crabs, cleaner shrimp, pistol shrimp, sexy shrimp, fire shrimp, or coral banded shrimp.
