hi
im a newbie to this hobby and like fish keeping very much
i have one month old (now cycling) planted tank with 6 banded barbs
tank size is 2.5ft x 1ft x 1.5ft tall
im from singapore and i want to keep tropical fish like neons, danios, gouramies, barbs, rasboras and yoyo loach etc

i would like to know compatible and hearty, ease to care plants
if anyone can suggest me something or give me any liks
and i want to know more about plant fertilizing, co2 and lighting etc

pls suggest

anubias bateri, large dark leaves, very easy to maintain in most water parameters, book said low light, but found it grows very fast and vigorous in strong light. Villeseneria, i call them water weeds because they grow fast and vigorous in my tank. I don't use CO2 system, just strong lights (compactfluorescents), and fertilize lightly every two weeks with KENT Aqua plant fertilizers.

Welcome to MFK. You will probably see a lot of me since you want to know about plants. There is a sticky in the planted tanks and aquascaping section that will cram your head full of information. There are lots of good plants, any of the anubias, cryptocorynes, java ferns, java moss, and several swords will work well for you. I have a few of the above mentioned for sale in a thread in the buy sell forum.
