hey all, just started getting into the natives last few weeks or so. i've got a free'd up 125g i'm using to house the new guys. anybody see a problem with keeping bout 20 or so shiners 4-5", 5 bluegill, 4 channel cats, and a white perch (want yellow bullheads but can't catch em). i know the shiners will prolly get eaten and the cats will get too big eventually. but for the time being are there any other problems anyone sees?

Those Channel Cats would be a huge bioload, I would go with one.

not worried about the bioload...i have great filtration...i just took a 22" niger, 17" rtc x tsn, 17" tsn, 4- 8" pacu, 15"lima, and 2-12" plecos. thanks though

i could care less for life...there's rivers and lakes all over the place if i need more i can get em...and there's no madtoms, sunfish are hard to come by.

So you don't care how many fish you kill?

You have tadpole madtoms and brindled madtoms as well as stonecats in OH.

A single bullhead would be better in that tank if you won't do madtoms.

OSS may be harder to find but will be worth it as they stay smaller and have a milder temperament.

But honestly, if you stocked your tank with your list... Shiners will be gone in less than a week, depending on what size your bluegills are they too will be gone, and you'll be doing water changes 2-3 times a week.

yes toledo oh, who said i was killing anything.

If you're implying that you don't care about the life of the fish and you don't kill fish then you must intend to release fish after you keep them at home right?

Please explain.
