Newest addition to the tank ACK

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Only if I can verify it is eating...My glutinous bichirs are grabbing all the silversides I put in there...I think I am going to go and get some 'pet quality' neon barbs or something to make sure the food stays off the bottom for a bit... Should give the GCK a chance at food, as the pet store owner stated that it has only been eating live.

I have to make a few adjustments to the tank decore(make some more hidy holes) and I'll see if his belly is full or not when I can see him!

Update.

The damage caused by too small of a hiding spot hasall but healed completely, still a little spit in its main fin, but it is healing nice.

This fish now ventures from his hiding area a few times an hour now, zips around the tank, then snuggles back to hiding. Definitely more comfortable in its environment and eating.

I'm wondering how long I can keep the Arican knifes I have in the same tank though, they are big, but I can see conflict as the GCK grows. Good thing there are 3 of them, If I loose one, this knife gets its own tank!

That's the plan, if there is aggression, it'll come with a loss of an African Knife. The GKN will be moved to a less populated 50 gallon.

Watch out for those tin foils lol they get big fast and also they fin nip the hell out of other fish (well at least mine did). but nice Fish they look good

So far these 4 are nuts, I don't think they've stopped playing in the filters current since I put them in this tank! Even my bala is schooling with them because they are having visible play time! The bala takes breaks because it can't keep up with the energy!

No fin nipping going on that I can detect, but I am watching the pleco in this tank as he is the second most aggressive plec I have.
