hi ragnew, I need help, I just bought a pair of these guys and both r ready to breed, but I'm concern with the temperature in my tank, my hygrometer points at 80% of humidity which is suitable after I've done some research, but my thermometer sets at 30-31 degrees of Celcius, I've read that it needs to be around 22-27 degrees of Celcius for the egg's temperature in order to fertilize, do you know how I can drop this temperature? I've regularly mist the tank but so far the thermometer shows no significant changes, is it because of my substrate? I'm using coco-peat

Turn off any light that you have on them. They do not need it. This should drop the temp to room temperature. If you need to drop it further, use a low powered fan and double the misting.

thanks a lot for da responses, I did turn off da lights n the temp nw iz 30 degrees sharp still dropping slowly I quess, and I turned on my waterfall just nw, so there's no problem with coco-peat substrate? I tried to create a new thread but it keeps showing error message

no. The substrate has nothing to do with the temperature. Just let it sit for a while. It will cool down.
