Wondering if anyone is using either of the ExtraLg fish formula(7.5mm) floating or the Mega fish formula(10mm) sinking

if so what fish are you feeding it to?
what size are the fish being fed?
Not a question about NLS quality but more of what size or sp. fish are capable if ingesting the size foods.

I Have some large fish that will need to be fed something larger to save me the trouble.

MBU puffer
5-6" ERH
5-10" rays
20" aro

Thanks for anyone that can just take the time to chime in if you're using either foods. Thanks!

Ive used the sinking pellets on my dats and bichirs before. Thinking of trying it again for a ray. look into hikari sturgeon, its also decently priced and like massivore my fish seemed to like it more

I feed both mega fish formula and extra large pellets to my dats and bichirs. The dats range from 6-10"+ and my bichirs are 10-12"+. I mix it up with massivore also but they seem to love both. MM formula is a lot harder than massivore so the fish will need to be big

The 10mm mega fish formula?

I'm a big NLS fan and love what it does for the fishes from my experience so I wanna stick with it for the new fish.

Yep, had tran order it for me when i first saw it was available

does it seem like the fish have a hard time eating the NLS?

Do they take it down instantly?
I'm use to Tropheus/Petros and they scarf down anything and everything like a feeding typhoon, imagine the larger fish would do the same?

Bichirs did and about half of the dats did.

IME the 10mm Mega Fish formula can be easily eaten by larger Mbu, but most of that will depend on whether your Mbu will accept pellets, or not. The 10mm is a very hard/dense wafer shaped pellet, that your other fish will have a very difficult time consuming due to their size. 10-12mm pellets are typically the size used by commercial farms to feed 4-8ft sturgeon. :) Your 20" aro would have no problem with the 7.5 mm (floating) Ex Large formula, but my experience with aros is that some will eat it, and some won't.

Personally I would feed the 5-10" fish the 3mm Large Fish formula, which would be much more readily accepted than the 10mm. You could also try the H20 wafers, and break them into smaller pieces. The 10mm will require a hammer to break up. lol
