Fairly common, I think I saw one at Big Als the other day...

i have never seen one at any of my lfs. But thats not saying much.

black nastys arn't to common depends where you are around here no not common at all cool fish
but for trimacs they range from aggressive to total monsters
if not one of those i'd go with
female red terror
parachromis of some kind (probly not a dovii def not a male and i think females might out grow a 75 to)

Well, seeing how LC keeps reptiles, I doubt it will even be in his tank for a week.

I would say Midas or red devil.

Most of the fish mentioned get too large. Something that stays under 14". But a Red Devil/Midas would be cool. OR a Black Belt?
