next fish, help!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The OP is giving everyone an attitude if you don't want our advise then don't ask for it. do some research before you buy fish with the goldfish put it in a cold water set up. Just because you like the way they look doesn't mean you should put them in a particular set up. I like how a red tailed catfish looks like but you don't see him in my 125 because i know i wont accommodate him well

well, considering my oscar is very placid. and he wouldn't be able to do anything to them.

all at the moment of course. the corys were getting flushed by a friend before he offered them to me. i adjusted them to my tank where everything is fine.

if everything had not gone all well, i could have placed them with some effort elsewhere.

i have a 20 gallon hospital tank as well.

so please, spare me the flame war people.

and with the new fish thing it wouldn't be today or tomorrow. i was looking more for ideas and what the future could possibly hold.

Sounds to me like you already know everything so why are you asking us for advise? Just put what ever the hell you want in there your gonna do that anyways.

I'm not agruing with you I'm just saying. You ask use what fish you can add and we try to tell you that what you have right now isn't going to work even with two tanks your still overstocked. But instead of taking our advise and fixing the problems you continue to want to make it worse. Someone gives you advise and you respond with a smart ass comment. If you want to add more fish then you either have to get rid of some of the fish you already have or get a really big tank.

If your asking what you can add the answer is nothing and theres not many people on this site that will advocate adding anything to an already overstocked tank . The best advise (serious or not ) is to thin out the herd. But best of luck to ya;)

COME AT ME BRO!

ROTFL, welcome to my world.

I would totally love to see Jerry Springer do an episode on Fish hobbyists and there debates.

Whoa, whoa. I know this is getting messy. I'm just going to poke my head in here and remind everyone that 125 gallons is truly a reasonable size for a stocklist like an Oscar, a convict, a pleco and a few others. Common plecos take many years to max out and convicts are usually only mean when spawning. A single con with a single Oscar is generally a safe combo barring other factors. And instead of a common plec, you could get an L200 or something that stays reasonably sized for such a tank as 125 gallons. My 125 gallon Had an Oscar, an L200, five large raphael catfish, a liosomadoras morrowi and a paratilapia polleni and all was well.
