Next species competition?

I'm gonna start the poll for the best motaguense tomorrow night. I'm not sure how long to run it but I thought originally to run the official poll for a week, but surely some can vote after that I guess.

What species do you all want next? Another Parachromis species? Something else? I think the competition brought out (and may still bring out) some really great pics of some super-nice motags! I think I'll start the new one tomnorrow night at the same time I start the poll for the motags. Any ideas on how to make the competition better?

How about C. myersi, A sp. "true Green Terror", or G. brasiliensis? I think those are the only one's I might have a chance at winning...

love to see a red terror, between the amazing colors of the females and large beautiful patterns of males it could be a great comp

Not doing them back to back would be good. You're going to burn people out on this...or run out of cichlids...lol.

A better way to do it would be to alternate between New World and Old World perhaps.

Or do species competitions. Like Motaguense vs. Jag and so on.

I think we should stick to one at a time for the fact that if they are only going to be a week long that will give us the ability to run through plenty of species. Don't do the jack dempsey comp for a year or so though, I need time to grow mine out! And a true GT comp would have few entries Imo there are not alot of them around in the hobby. A Green Terror (Aequidens Goldsaum, Silversaum, and Rivulatus) would be neat to see. GreenTerra would probably win tho!

^^ not many people can keep umbee only a select few have the space.

I say we do a couple of each genus. Like Managuense next for Parachromis.
