Next species competition?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
rarity is all relative... the more rare it is the fewer contestants...

festaes and jags are cool, but i mean so over played IMHO... they are great looking fish, but find the number of threads on them and you might as well spend the next 30 minutes browsing the 2328768 threads on them ;)

why don't we do it by genus or family? like parachromis, vieja, herichthys etc.

Not doing them back to back would be good. You're going to burn people out on this...or run out of cichlids...lol.

A better way to do it would be to alternate between New World and Old World perhaps. ;)

Or do species competitions. Like Motaguense vs. Jag and so on.

I'm gonna consider this very seriously. I may do a south american next time.

Bump. Need input. I'm thinking Green Terror is next.

Roliva has an awesome GT as well. Mine's pretty fantastic too, of course:D

I'm really leaning GT. I think we will get many more entries than the freddies did. I may do that "rare" cichlid competition too. It is just that rareness is ultra-subjective.

Do you all like these competitions? Should I back off a little and wait a while before starting a new one as Peanut_Power suggested?

Sorry if I missed a previous mention but it would nice to have a list of all the competition threads, maybe a sticky. Also, keep up the good work on these threads, very enjoyable.

Anybody here into discus or no? That always makes for a great photo contest.

Discus do look great, but this isn't the discus section...:)

Carpintis! :nilly:
