That stinks, In all my years of fishing I never saw someone hook themselves.....until my bachelor party where my buddy hooked himself. Needless to say we busted him mercilessly about it until about 2 months later I did the same thing to myself.
That was a 20/0 circle hook! When I was 11 or 12 I managed to get a treble hook stuck straight through the palm of my hand. I had to go to the ER to get it out, of course it was no where near what this poor fellar had to go through!
o its funny now to talk bout it . but wait till it happens to u. I had two out of three trebbles in my head. on a long A bomber 3/4 ounce lure i was useing a ultra light rod . lol a real noodle. But man the rock fish were so fun that night. Fished for three more hours with that dam trebble in my head. then went to the hospital
And that is why i dont use 20/0 hooks. Seriosly thats a freaking gaff tine. Also that electrical tape probably isnt helping.

I bet his calf was sore as crap for several weeks.
The story is, he was a shark fisherman (as you can tell by the hook) and he was yakking the bait out when he was dumped and some how the hook found its way in his calf.
