ok, so heres the low down, ive got this NGT, my only big dat like 6-7 inches, and i want to get some more dats to move in with him once i get rid of the pbass (sooner than later) so that i have a little while of less than hectic slow growers

i have the opportunity to snatch up a silver (4 inches or so) and i really want to go ahead and get it, but it would be the only other dat, and thus the object of my NGT's "presumed" rage. it will be a while before my indo is big enuff to play with the big boys (a LOOOOOOOOONG while) and i dont think i could talk my signifigant other into me getting a thinbar :( (for now at least)

so how agressive do NGT's really get with other dats, of the non NGT vareties? sould the silver just get punked to death or would it be just like territory squabbles? ive never tried to put more than one dat in the same tank mostly cuz my NGT would swallow my others whole, but i understand that some fighting is expected

just want to know who votes for going for it and who thinks the silver would just get his ass kicked?

ALl fish are different, you could have a peaceful relationship, but typically from what i read NGT will mess up all other Dats it wants to... So the risk is yours... how much are you willing to spend on a chance...
Good luck, Id go for it, and if it has aggressive acts just sell it to someone on here... or get a cool divider..

I've got a mixture of all the dats in my tank... they all seem to be fine together... of course every now and then a scuffle will happen... so far the NGT has been nice...

my NGT was fine with my 1 other tiger for ages then the pulcher beat the NGT up bad

the NGT now wont take any crap from any tiger and he is the smallest at about 11inch

It helps if the other datnoids are bigger in size ( 2-3 inches at least ), if you have an aggressive NGT.

Good to know, I would love to come across a 2.5" NGT around here. that would be perfect.
