NGT only eats frozen blood worms

Whuts up dat addicts!

I need some help with my little 3.5" NGT.

So far it only eats frozen bloodworms, and a buddy of mine that is into dats, told me that they can starve to death.

So what I've been doing is offering bloodworms every 3 days, and only offering pellets and market shrimp in between.


He has never showed any interest in any food besides bloodworms.

Does anyone have any tips? Thanks for the help in advance

Bro, try 4-5 days inbetween instead. Also archers and other dats on prepared can help your NGT imitate them when they eat.

I got a 5" NTT and all the bichirs on shrimp, I know he sees the NTT eating shrimp lol but no go.

Be very careful-I had a similar sized NGT. Ate happily on bloodworm but nothing else. Got told on him by lots of people that they can't starve to death and mustn't give in...it died. I've a new one now nad I won't be doing the same again

bloodworms are like fish crack, that's why I don't like using them anymore unless it's for baby fish, or fw puffers.

I put in hikari and market shrimp but nothing yet. They're a little interested. Look at my new sig homie

True bro. Just extend the days where you don't feed them frozen blood worms. Try a week because they're big enough to starve that long.

I had some Dats that would only eat Freeze-Dried Shrimp. It took a month for me to get them on cut pieces of shrimp and fish. I tried to get them on pellets, but it never happened I eventually sold them.
