The fish got albino gene or leust in it, but it isn't dominate over his normal color, so the color phrase happen!

;)

so

in the wild, this fish is defected, it will die, (like white alligator, lion etc)

but in an aquarium, the whole concept changed

A GREAT expensive UNIQUE fish

:D

The genetics for Albinism or for other traits for that matter does not work that way. If you carry a recessive and a recessive, or a dominant and a recessive, the trait will not be expressed. They are inherited as autosomal recessive traits. Also you do not die because you are an albino in the wild. The only reason you do not see it in the wild is because you are more susceptible to predation.

Turns out the colour change was not permanent! Still, it looked good while it lasted ( the odd colours that is)
The ngt is now unstable.

Vanimate; r u saying a fish can only be albino from birth? i.e, the gene is present from birth, it doesn't lie dormant and become active later?

The 2 smaller ngt I added bout a 4-5 weeks ago, are not fighting , at least as of yet!

Yes, albinism is a genetic mutation that occurs during development and not "activated" sometime after birth.
