I got it from a lfs in my area. They were labeled as Irian Jaya datnoid. Irian Jaya is the western half of New Guinea.

Anybody know if these variants of campbelli's keep this red color throughout adulthood?

Would be cool if they did but ive never seen an adult ngt with red or orange on it. Could be a new variant who knows. Id be happy as long as it keeps its highlighter yellow.

It's could be a juvie color stage. There's a few from the recent batch. The one post here is pretty clean and NGT rarely go unstable but some do. My one eye ngt was unstable for a a year and just became stable for another year. RIP One Eye

Its normal. You don't see it often, but it does happen. And yes, some of these guys will keep the orange to adulthood. IMO these are the nicest of the NGTs...just like the orange base ITs
