Most likely from either poor water quality or gill flukes. I'm thinking more along the lines of flukes. Is your dat flicking or scratching? I would do waterchanges and add more aeration into the tank. Either powerhead or extrafine bubble airstones. Try and catch the flukes early, if you wait to long its horrible.

i dont think its poor water quality since i change the water two times a week and he seems to be the only fish with this. i was hoping you would answer=]

Really depends on if it is gill flukes and what type of medication you decide to use. If its is flukes for sure, I would use clout or fluke tabs. Careful because both these meds are deadly to bottom feeders, scaleless fish and nitrifying bacteria. Fluke tabs is stronger than clout, so depending on the severity of the case you can use either or.

for flukes, Hikari Prazi Pro works well and will not harm your nitrifying bacteria. Prazi Pro also works well for intestinal parisites.

yeah mines staplelized already very nice and eatsalot of feeders and food
