Nicaraguan Cichlid Aggression

I have two paired up Nic in my 125. They flare at each other often but have done no harm. The females often instigate the confrontation. They are gentle in comparison to my other paired up CA/SA. But there are 19 other small to medium cichlid tankmates to diffuse their aggression, so it works out fine for me.
