That is just acclimating it to the temperature of the tank, not to the water. That is probably what the problem is.

Here is one example of proper acclimation.
 
I agree, the Ph is a potential issue . . . but probably the only one, since the rest of your parameters look reasonable.

best to find out your LFS water parameters before next approach; chances are they keep their water at neutral Ph

ah, gotcha . . . well, you could also just ask them what their parameters are. personally, I wouldn't rely on them, I just test their water with the same products I use to test my own

I only test GH and Ph . . . and if there are significant difference in either, I do a more gradual acclimation; if there are not, then I can move a little quicker . . .

Don't be afraid, it's not something we usually do but explain that the first two died and you're trying to take extra precautions. If they think your stupid I would take my business elsewhere.
