I have a Nic x Con hybrid that I think is awesome. Its hard to see in this pic but the fins are all lined in blue with the golden yellow in the middle.

I don't mind hybrids at all as long as they aren't sold as pure breeds. I am surprised the jag was beat up bad I thought they were so much tougher. Was there a big size difference? I would be interested in a some fry you let it happen.

 
Holy hell I need Jagcons!!!!! How big are they and more importantly, just how dang mean are they.

There is a sticky thread on CA/SA hybrid pics in the FH forum. So you can preview what the hybrid may look like by crossing two species. Most random hybrids aren't impressive to me, just look weird. This is far different from line breed hybrid that take many generations to enhance certain desirable traits.
 
My mate bred jag x nic. He didn't let them get too big before they were bichir food.

The Nicaraguan is about 10" and the female jag is around 6-7" but she was raised from 3" in a tank full of larger and more aggressive fish, maybe that might explain her "peaceful-ness".
Also sorry for the late pics but I've been insanely busy with school and for the past 3 days I have only had time to feed my fish, throw the food in and back to work.
I will post pictures of the pair ASAP
 
great looking hybrid man. I am amazed how the base color dominates even thought the tank bottom is white. They really have a serious convict look. they must be pretty bad ass fish!
