Nicaraguensis cichlid Variants

I came across 2 completely different color variations of H. Nicaraguensis in the same day so I decided to pick a few of them up and grow them on to see what I get.
I know there are two variants so if I am lucky I will get to grow them out side by side, any pictures of adults would be appreciated, here they are.


Variation number 1, completely yellow most likely male

Variation number 2, blue and yellow with intense red pink on dorsal fin and chest (never seen the blue and gold type with red before) The red pink coloration dosn't always show well in pictures

mine vary quite a bit with age,mood, status, or spawning readiness.

when spawning the females belly really brightens up, the pic below is the 3rd spawn, in as many months

the young are quite generic, below at about 1".
