At the moment i have one Oscar fish in a 150 gallon tank and was wondering what is a fast growing fish that i would be able to put I the tank. And what would be the minimum size for the fish.I would really like to get it a friend it is very peaceful and does not attack anything unless it attack them. thanks for your help every one that answers.

tank dimensions?
filtration?
oscars size?
what type of fish do you like and would like, ie more cichlids, barbs, characins, loaches, catfish, etc?
there are a lot of fish to suggest without you giving us some sort of clue first.

what size is your Ocsar at now ?

thats a great start but we need more info as I pointed out in my first post. such as what kinds of fish you like and/or want.
when selecting fish please remember to take note of what you can obtain and what you can get ordered within your budget before you get your heart set on a fish. remember to look in the aquarist classifieds for your region too as i notice you are in the UK.

it appears you should have a reasonable amount of options open to you with a foot print like that but thats about as specific as i can go without more info on what you like and your filtration.

You can try a Vieja Synspilum, they grow quiet fast and are one of the calmer cichlids that get big. I wouldn't get him at a very small size, or else your oscar will eat him. There is a lot of others options with that tank size. You want a big or small cichlid (assuming you want more cichlids)?
