Thank you very much.
Had a bit of an ich nuke in the mean time. Lost quite a few this time.
Own stupud fault. Any who. Setting up the hospital tank again. They really are a necessity. Thought it was sand in there goo coat. Nah. It was an ich nuke.

Best best camera man ever.
2xO’s (ones three inches long)
1x GT
1x Madagascian cichlid
1xsilver dollar
4xspotted silver dollars
1x Bala shark
1xgold spot Gibby
1xsialfin gibby
3xmystery sails (mystery how there still alive)
And one yabby. (Also as above)

As you can see my fake plants while expensive are about as gaudy as it gets.
My question is ,Is there a company out there that makes actual nice fake plants?
As is big cichlids tendency to play with everything and dollars ability to eat anything green. After something nice to pretty up the joint a bit.

Is the moss on that driftwood fake too? Where'd you get that piece? The driftwood with moss I mean.

Know this is an older thread but I have been very happy with the fake plants I purchased form universal rocks. I like that they have a weighted fake stone base. In my cichlid tank they have not moved in the 2 years that they were added. They are also extremely tall. I had to trim the top to make them fit in my standard 150. I think the low carpet plants look great.

Where'd you get the carpet plants from?

Zugs, this is quite similar to the one you asked about.
Also I’d check amazon as they have a nice selection of fake plants.

I've heard that I should stay away from silk. Is this true?

The carpet plants also come from Universal Rocks. The larger plants are IMO really expensive but the smaller ones are surprisingly inexpensive. It is hard to judge their size on the website but each one is roughly 4-5 inches wide by 2-3 inches deep. What I show in that picture is three pieces.

I can't seem to find them on the site. Do you by chance have a link? They're either not there anymore or I'm just blind.
